Arm Liposuction
Looking to enhance and define your arms? Many of our patients have liposuction performed on their upper back or underarm/armpit area in addition to their arms to enhance the body’s overall proportions and create an even more balanced appearance.
Renuvion® Skin Tightening for Arms
Get tighter, firmer skin and more youthful arms with Renuvion, also known as J-Plasma. This minimally invasive procedure is an effective treatment option for individuals with saggy arms especially when done in combination with laser liposuction.

The SAFR Technique for Arms
At Imagen we use our signature SAFR technique — a blend of SmartLipo laser lipolysis, local anesthesia, fat sculpting and Renuvion skin tightening — to give the arms a smoother, more toned appearance. Compared with traditional liposuction, patients see faster recovery, less bruising, meaningful skin tightening, and tiny, nearly invisible scars.
What Arm Liposuction Costs in Omaha
Arm liposuction at Imagen typically ranges from $4,000 to $6,000. Where you fall in that range depends on:
- The amount of fat to be removed
- Whether adjacent areas such as bra fat are treated at the same time
- Whether Renuvion skin tightening is included
- Your customized treatment plan
You will receive a detailed quote at your consultation, and flexible financing is available for those who qualify. Budget clinics may advertise lower prices, but arm liposuction is still surgery — your results and your safety should never be a bargain.
Recovery After Arm Liposuction
Most of our patients are pleasantly surprised by how straightforward recovery is. With local anesthesia and advanced technique, you can expect mild swelling and soreness for a few days, compression sleeves worn for four weeks to support healing, a return to work in two to three days depending on your job, and final results at three to six months as swelling subsides and skin tightening continues to improve. Arms usually start looking slimmer and more defined within the first couple of weeks.
Are You a Good Candidate?
Arm liposuction tends to suit healthy adults who are close to their ideal weight, who are bothered by upper arm fullness or “bat wings”, and who have reasonable skin elasticity — though Renuvion can provide substantial tightening. If you have significant loose skin, we may recommend exploring alternative procedures depending on your age and skin quality. We will walk you through every option at your consultation.
What Causes Upper Arm Fat?
Understanding why upper arm fullness develops helps you choose the right treatment. Three factors drive it most often:
- Diet. Diets heavy in processed foods, high-calorie snacks and sugar promote fat storage, and excess sugar can contribute to inflammation and insulin resistance.
- Genetics. Some body types naturally store more fat in the upper arms, and a slower metabolism makes surplus calories harder to burn off.
- Lifestyle. Long periods of sitting, too little movement, poor sleep and unmanaged stress all encourage the body to store fat rather than use it.
Because these factors are systemic rather than local, targeted exercise alone rarely removes upper arm fat — which is why many patients reach a plateau and begin looking at contouring options.
Arm Liposuction vs. Arm Lift (Brachioplasty)
The right procedure depends on whether your concern is fat, loose skin, or both.
- Liposuction removes stubborn pockets of fat through a tiny incision using a thin tube called a cannula, reshaping the arm where skin quality is still reasonable.
- Brachioplasty (arm lift) removes excess skin through an incision along the inner arm, then tightens and reshapes the underlying tissue for a smoother contour.
- A combination addresses excess skin and fat together in a single procedure, which suits patients with more significant skin laxity.
At Imagen we frequently pair liposuction with Renuvion® skin tightening, which allows many patients to achieve tightening without the longer scar of a full arm lift. We will walk you through which route fits your skin quality at your consultation.
Arm Liposuction vs. CoolSculpting for Arms
Both reduce excess fat in the upper arms, but they work differently.
- CoolSculpting uses cryolipolysis — controlled cooling that targets fat cells — with no anesthesia and no incisions. It typically takes more than one treatment, and results begin to appear after about three weeks.
- Arm liposuction combines SmartLipo laser and VASER ultrasound technology with Renuvion skin tightening in a single visit, and can address skin laxity as well as fat.
If you would prefer a nonsurgical route, CoolSculpting may be the better starting point. If you want one procedure that also tightens the skin, arm liposuction is usually the stronger option.
